The day where we drove around Lakeland

Hey everybody, ye family and friends.

This past week was not too eventful until the weekend occurred.  The missionary work we did this week involved us going by a bunch of referrals we received from mormon.org and tried to get them all visited.  Some of them live way out in the edge of our area so it was quite interesting visiting the far out trailer houses.

The ward is doing well.  We got a new Elders Quorum President due to the new change and he is raring to go and get things done.  Tom Billings, a guy that we are teaching, is taking us to Texas Roadhouse this week which will be good.

We went by a member family named the Atchison's.  Brother Atchison has had a crazy past life.  To keep brevity and most of the details hidden I shall explain the story he told us succinctly:

He lived in Miami a long time ago.  He was involved with a lot of people with questionable motives.  One day he ran into the missionaries.  When they taught him the plan of salvation he believed it and then had a great experience at church.  He thought that there was going to be a lot of screaming at church because he was originally a Baptist and the church he went to had people jumping around and screaming like a Pentecostal church.

He went out with the missionaries and he told off a bunch of people so they wouldn't harass the missionaries.  One day they read the Book of Mormon to about eighty people. A bunch of people were baptized from this.  Brother Atchison and Sister Atchison have changed a lot from their old selves.

Spiritual thought:

Anyone can change if they really want to.  We, as human beings, have an amazing psychic - neurological chemical muscular system (the human body) that allows us to change if we really want to.

That is about all that really happened this week.  I love you all and hope that you have a great week.

Love,

Elder Fabricius
