Hello to ya'll
This past week was a good week. It started off well until I
noticed that one of my white shirts had yellow sweat stains all over it.
They are impossible to get out even with bleach so in enraged fury I rent
it. Yep, it happened. It was like these Old Testament examples:
“And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph was not in
the pit; and he rent his clothes.”
“And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which
were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:”
“And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the
book of the law, that he rent his clothes.”
Besides for that, this week was good. We were not able to
bike at all this week due to holes appearing in one of my tires. We tried
to fix it but it twas all for naught. We did walk a lot which helped my
quadriceps out.
We spent some time helping this one family we are teaching.
They have three children. The youngest one needed help with his ABC's and
counting numbers and somehow we got roped into it. I can say that trying
to teach him math was harder than most lessons we teach. He was not into
it at all and loves to mix Spanish with English. The oldest boy there ate
a Jalepeño and began drinking whatever liquids he could find afterwards.
They wanted us to do the challenge but luckily it did not happen. At
least it was not a ghost pepper challenge.
I went on an exchange with Elder Keppner. He has a lot of
cool stories from an area named Brooksville. We spent most of the day
finding until his bike tire got flat so we walked the rest of the night. We
found the swamp rabbit (Sylvilagus Aquaticus) at the edge of our neighborhood. We put it down in a yard after we tried to
feed it lettuce. Hopefully it finds it's mother.
The same family I mentioned before really like to say Fabricio. They really like me for some reason. They always make us some
cool Mexican food which is the real deal.
Elder Drumright gave a talk yesterday about Elder Rasband's talk
on Divine Design. The Uprichard family (the cool family that lives in Valrico
that I helped finish teaching and helped them prepare for baptism) came down
for it. They are super solid and seem really converted to the
Gospel. Their daughter seems much more interested in eventually being
baptized than before. It took a lot of time and probably about eight to
nine missionaries teaching them but they were baptized and have loved it ever
since. Tony, the dad, went to the Sacred Grove and Hill Cumorah and felt
the spirit there.
Elder Claudia R. M. Costa of the Seventy came for a Zone
Conference. He basically taught us about a lot of ways we need to be
bold. An example was a missionary went into an Anglican church and the
pastor felt the spirit and was baptized. A bunch of people were baptized
in the church and they turned the building into a branch.
Anywho, that is about all. A pretty good week with lots of
good stuff happening. I hope that all is going well and that you have
fun. We will be fishing today for P-Day and hopefully we can catch some
good stuff. Hopefully we do not catch a bull shark or Jørmungand or
anything else from Norse Mythology.
