Week 6: "Salutations on This Congruous Day"

Hello to the Fabricius Family,

It's amazing to think that it is week 4 in the mission and that tomorrow will be the sixth week overall, though focusing on numbers is not the best thing to do.  The weather here is getting to be a lot hotter but the humidity hasn't shown up yet so that's good. The package you sent arrived on Saturday and all the stuff in it will be great to feast on so thank you for that. The letters and postcards have been really helpful as well.

We have several more people set up with a baptismal date in March so hopefully we can get all the lessons taught and all of that stuff. The zone leaders are going really crazy on getting many baptisms for this year. The mission goal is 500 baptisms by December which is a really a lot due to the fact that many people are not that interested in talking to the missionaries here. But we are still going to try.

Elder Randall is from Pocatello Idaho. He usually makes weird food like a strange pork thing and weird burritos but it's not terrible tasting. There have been several exchanges so far which have been great. This last Friday I went with Elder Treasure, Elder Randall’s last companion and that was fun. There is at least one exchange per week just so you know. There's 8 of us in this district.  Elder Johnson is the only one from the MTC here. The district takes up about 3 areas so that's 4 in one and 2 in the others.

The exercising / running is getting better even though Elder Randall is always way ahead of me.  Hopefully by the end of the training time I'll be able to keep up with him. I haven't seen any alligators but there has been some turtles and small lizards all over the place. The alligators love to hide out in the bottom of water so it would be hard to see any.

Hopefully we will have some baptisms on February 25th. The family is really excited about it and came to church yesterday which is great. Unless they don't come next week they'll be baptized which is really cool. I hope you are all doing well and are having a good time. Stay well and know that I love you all, and thanks for the prayers, they help out a lot.
