Turkey, tryptophan and Thanksgiving!!

Hey y'all on this November week.  Thanksgiving is almost upon us with all of it's munching of good food.  There are a few things worth mentioning about last week.

This last week it was cold by Floridian standards.  Anything below Seventy degrees is cold out here.  It got down in the sixties this week so I brought out my sweater.

The people we are working with have been going out and about.  Cathy is doing well. We have one last lesson with her.  The other investigators are happy to talk to us and then something goes ill and they disappear.  A while ago we were able to answer a less - active ladies question of why bad things happen.  A guy who knew a member of the Church accepted a Book of Mormon and a few other people say they want us to stop by but we shall how it goes.  It just seems to be the same old - same old lately.

The ward threw (figuratively, definitely not literally) a Thanksgiving party.  It fortunately was not the Charlie Brown Christmas special:

"What's this?"
"It’s toast and popcorn, the only thing I know how to make."

Our ward mission leader made enough stuffing for a hundred people.  Ham and turkey and all sorts of Thanksgiving food were devoured.  Then the ward donated all the food to us and we have enough stuffing and food to last till the middle of December.  Members love giving missionaries food after activities because they know we will eat it all.

This week we were walking and a whole crush of college students were crowding a street.  As we walked past they surely thought we were police officers (which I do not understand because we do not carry typical law enforcement equipment).  As a result they all raced inside a building when we walked past.

We received training for the Book of Mormon experiment this week. As for implementing it we are working on that, trying to share it with the college students we happen across.

Well, not much is going on besides that.  Be safe with eating turkey and avoiding the sleep inducing protein tryptophan and definitely be safe during Black Friday.

Love you all,

Elder Fabricius
